About Kompanion
Kompanion is Ukraine’s independent finance portal. We help people in Ukraine choose banks, deposits, loans, insurance and financial services based on transparent criteria — not ad banners.
# What we do
Three main products:
- Financial product comparisons — 21 banks, deposits, loans, cards, mortgages, insurance, crypto exchanges. Data refreshed weekly from primary sources.
- Financial calculators — deposit, loan, mortgage, self-employed (FOP), international transfer cost. Real after-tax outcomes, not marketing numbers.
- Practical guides — how to open a sole-proprietorship, close a mortgage, withdraw PayPal, buy crypto via P2P, file taxes. Written for humans, not bankers.

We don’t belong to any bank or financial institution. Our revenue is partner commissions (CPA/CPL) from customers who open products after visiting our site. Those commissions don’t influence rankings — we score products through a published methodology first, then negotiate partnerships with the winners.
# How we work
Every finance article goes through four stages: primary-source research → writing → chief-editor fact check → expert review (for YMYL topics: taxes, loans, mortgages, insurance). Details in Editorial Policy.
We openly use AI tools (Claude Sonnet, Anthropic) for structuring drafts, but the author and fact-checker are always a human. That responsibility can’t be delegated to a language model.
# Our standards
- Source transparency. Every number links to a primary source (NBU, bank, regulator) with the date it was collected.
- Freshness marking. Market data carries a “last checked” date. If it’s stale, we say so.
- Public corrections. We admit mistakes with a “Corrected [date]” block. Spotted an error?
- Independence. No paid rating positions. Sponsored content (rare) is clearly labeled.
# What we don’t do
- No personal investment advice.
- No coverage of gambling, forex scams, or crypto pyramids.
- No “sponsored” articles with pre-cooked conclusions.
- No recommending a product without explaining the selection criteria.
